Inspired by summer in Osaka, explore the refined world of literati-style sencha with Tsukuda Shioh of Issa-an for one day only at Patina Osaka.
Through chilled sencha, chilled gyokuro, and seasonal flavours featuring Akashi octopus, conger eel, and other ingredients from the Kansai region, discover a gathering shaped by tea, artistry, and the rhythms of summer. Surrounded by thoughtfully curated tea utensils and hanging scrolls, experience a quiet moment of connection to the season’s enduring beauty.

Acclaimed Tea Artisan
Tsukuda Shioh is the successor to Bunjinkai Issa-an, a sencha school based in Osaka that has carried forward the traditions of Japanese sencha culture since the late Edo period.
Guided by the teachings of his father, Tsukuda Ikki, he embraces not only the art of tea, but also the aesthetics of literati culture expressed through poetry, calligraphy, and painting. Through tea gatherings and cultural experiences, he continues to share a contemporary interpretation of sencha rooted in tradition.
