PALMS
Cássio Vasconcellos

This series of photographs is inspired by the engravings and landscape paintings of the traveling artists of the early 19th century. Through these works, the artist aims to recreate the emotions felt by these pioneering travellers as they encountered new and different landscapes than they were used to seeing. Created two centuries later and translated through the lens of photography, it is as if the artist has tried to go back in time to experience the sensation of discovering these sublime places.

Art @ Patina

Art has the power to seduce, provoke, soothe and inspire. It moves us, makes us question what we know, and repositions our relationship with the world. Throughout the island, art is given a voice.

Patina Maldives, Fari Islands is where art, nature, space and community harmoniously coexist and interact to create fruitful, long-lasting relationships. The many textures, forms, attitudes and experiences of our collection live together as an expression of the continuous cadence of life.
